Since I am 6’2 and crush the ball with a swing speed around 108 mph I make sure to get a females perspective when testing ladies golf balls. I have my lovely wife join me on the links and put the various balls through hell before we come up with a review.
Callaway is proud to offer the new Callaway Solaire boasting it’s claims to have increased distance with an “extremely soft feel”. This ball joins the Hex family of dimple design which is supposed to give shots better lift and longer carry.
All that is great but the lovely pearluminous cover that shimmers pearl in the light makes it a joy to play even if the shots are lack luster. The ball is also offered in a vivid pink that is sure to be seen by all around. What female doesn’t like pink?
Overall the ball feels great and performs well. It had the softness that was needed around the greens and the distance to launch off the tee. It seems like a good value and a nice addition to my wife’s bag. Also, saying the word “Solaire” puts it in another class altogether. Like saying “Tarjay” instead of “Target”.
